I just wanted to send my deepest sympathy to Bob's family.  I met Bob many years ago as a fellow cash register dealer.  Bob was always very giving in sharing ideas and I valued his perspective on things. The world would be a better place if there were more people like Bob.

Memories of Uncle Bob: big southern style meals at Grandma and Grandpa Harper's home with all the aunts, uncles, and cousins; water skiing; antique cash registers displayed at Bakersfield Cash Register; his deep voice smoothed with a southern drawl; his lifelong love and support for his family. My sympathy to those who feel the loss at his passing.

Bob - you are the most wonderful brother. You watched out for your sisters, parents, and family. You were an anchor throughout my life and I always knew you would provide me with a safe harbor. Your sense of humor will continue to sustain me as I remember your antics, such as when you threw corn cobs at the cow to make her kick me while I milked her. Or like the time when we had two young colts and dad told you to leave them alone. Leaving them alone wasn't in your nature, so when you tried to play with the colts, one of them kicked you and you went flying through the air. Your "can do" attitude with corn cobs and colts and everything else will be remembered and continue to serve as inspiration. You will be missed greatly. My love forever.

I worked with Bob on our class reunions, BHS class of 1953.  He will be sorely missed planning our 60th.  
I was deeply saddened hearing of his passing.
We have lost a good friend.

I have many memories of Bobby during the Senior Year hijinx that Toni, Christiana and I shared.  I was lucky to share some of those great Lake Success trips.  I will always remember Bobby fondly as a unique and fun man.  And I will never forget his as his nickname for me.  Rest in Peace & thank you for all the great memories. I have the fondest memories growing up that are filled with Bob, Toni and Dotti. Bob taking me out for the first time on water skis (and getting more than enough water in places that it shouldn't be), dinner on Friday nights, and the house boat... Bob was always filled with a sense of mischief and fun that he brought to everyone around him.  What an incredible person.  He will be missed, but leaves such a fantastic legacy.

Powerstride Battery will miss our almost weekly visits from Bob! We always dropped everything to help Bob because he had places to go and things to do! Our memories of him are great and our thoughts are with his family,

Deepest Sympathy to the Harper families!  We were fortunate to meet Bob through NCR and he became a very special friend.  Our families spent many great times together which will always be very dear to us!  Bob was a tremendous and dedicated businessman and is truly "Mr. Cash Register"! I had the honor and joy of knowing Bob for 25 years. I had the greatest respect for Bob as person and businessman.  If everyone treated people or their customers the way Bob did,  the world would be a much better place.  He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.   To Bob's family,  friends, employees and customers... I extended my sincerest sympathies,  and take comfort in knowing there is no doubt Bob is now in a better place.
