

Bob was born on July 4, 1939 to Glenn and Inez Tinnin and passed away on December 30, 2022 at the age of 83. While growing up in Bakersfield he attended local elementary schools and Bakersfield High School. He joined the Army in 1957 and served in Germany. After his honorable discharge he continued to serve in the Army Reserve until 1963.
In 1961 he married the love of his life Nancy Davis and together they raised 1 son, Bobby Jr., and 3 daughters, Suzanne, Beverly Jo and Angela.In the 1970's he became a member of the ' Bakersfield Competition 4-Wheelers' where he was very fortunate to meet an amazing group of life long friends. With his love of horses and rodeos he became involved in the ' Gene Clark Jr. Rodeo Association' where his children competed. After a car accident took the life of his son in 1979 Bob and Nancy opened their hearts and the door to many of his friends who needed any kind of help including a place to stay. Their generosity continued over the years and they always kept in close contact with all those grateful young men Especially Lewis Luther, Robert Morrill, Raymond Chanley, Shawn Bispo and Doug Engle.
Bob was preceded in death by his infant daughter Melanie, his son Bobby Jr. and his wife Nancy. He leaves behind his 3 daughters Suzanne, Beverly Jo and Angela. As well as 6 grandchildren Jayson Grider, Jamie Grider-Aguayo, Casey Williams, Chris Johnston, Amanda Johnston and Matthew Johnston.
He also had 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
Bob suffered for many years with Alzheimer Dementia and passed away peacefully at his home exactly 4 years to the day after his loving wife Nancy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 28th at 1:00pm at The Eagles Club, 1718 17th street, Bakersfield Ca. Potluck style. Deep pit, beans and salad will be provided but feel free to bring a side dish or dessert if you want.
