Bonnie was born in Olustee, Oklahoma to Jesse and Maggie Weber Tackitt.
She came to California as a teen and graduated from Kern High School (BHS) in 1948.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, 2 sisters, her husband of 58 years C.M. Coots and daughter Lana Follansbee.
She leaves behind her son Larry Towery and daughter Vicki Shadden (Dan), 5 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandson, also 2 sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
