

Bruce Albert Sturgill, 62, of Midland Odessa, passed away on August 5, 2026. He was born on August 31, 1963, to Richard and Freida Sturgill. Bruce was a man of many passions and a loving presence in the lives of his family and friends.
Bruce loved riding his Harley Davidson, often enjoying the thrill of the open road. He had a deep love for horses, both training and riding, which reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and nature. He was also an avid sports fan, transitioning from an Astros supporter to a Dodgers fan, frequently saying, "The game is on, I'll call you later." Bruce enjoyed following the Jacksonville Jaguars, especially rooting for the underdog, and was a dedicated NASCAR enthusiast.
He cherished spending time around his beloved grandchildren, Ryder and Beau Jennings, Ryan and Danny Brum, Ashley, Elizabeth and Katelyn Mennick. He was known for starting his mornings reading Bible verses from his phone, finding peace and inspiration in his faith. Bruce's joyful spirit and zest for life made him a cherished friend and family member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Freida; his sister, Veronica; and his brother, Ricky. Bruce is survived by his four children, John Sturgill, Nicole Sturgill, Kayla Sturgill, and Jessica (Andrew) Jennings; his seven grandchildren, Ryder and Beau Jennings; Ryan and Danny Brum, Ashley, Elizabeth and Katelyn Mennick and the love of his life, Patrice Light, with whom he shared 11 wonderful years.
Bruce’s legacy of love, passion, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
