Buna Catherine Potts January 10, 1916 ~ January 3, 2012 Buna "Catherine" Potts was born in Alvaredo, Virginia on January 10, 1916 to William Bell Neal and Sally (Gardener) Neal. Her Mother Sally passed two years later in 1918. Catherine was raised by her father and Aunt Mary Reynolds of Highland, California. Married in 1934 to James Barry Potts they had one Daughter Mary Lou. Proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Virginia Flick, her brothers Lacy and Gilford, and sadly her Daughter Mary Lou in 2009. She is survived by her four grandchildren Sam Mayfield and wife Sherry, Denise Wiggins and husband Buddy, Nathan Mayfield and wife Ella, and Timothy Mayfield, numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren and her nephew Richard Flick. Catherine was a devoted wife, mother and Grandmother. She is a member of Town and Country Baptist Church and her church family was very important to her. She devoted a lot of time to the various social activities until her health prohibited her participation. Catherine will be laid to rest January 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park, in Bakersfield. Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary
