Charles "Chuck" Darrel Bowers

Charles was born on March 28, 1935 to Harry and Maggie Bowers in Skidmore, Kansas. He was the baby of thirteen children, grew up around farming and hay. Met Iris and had two daughters, Gina Ray Pitts who lives in Tehachapi and Bille Boucher that lives in Payson, Az. He has a brother Ben Bowers that lives in Jackson, Mo. A sister Crystal Threadway that lives in North, S.C. He joined the Airforce June 3, 1954 and was discharged February 4, 1957. Married Zelda and had two step daughters, Lela Martin who lives here and Clauda Burke that also lives here. Had lots of children, step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved and treasured a lot. Then a couple years after Zelda passed a way I met Chuck at Rasmussan Senior Center and we were married, so he got another step daughter Debbie Mc Combs and a step son Freddie Rowland. Can't forget Chucks buddy my 7 year old great grandson Camdyn Burrows, him and Chuck played together and he was Chuck's little doctor every morning he would have Chuck's pills and say Papa only one pill at a time. Chuck loved to dance with his ladies at Green Acres, you say "Dance" and he is ready! I want to thank our friends Wilma and Rodney Robertson whom we love as our brother and sister. Rodney was Chuck’s baby sitter, he took him on drives out to the river or to grab a bite. They loved to bond over their ice cream cone. Rodney and Wilma we could have never made it without you. Chuck My Love this is not goodbye. Soar high.
