Upon his return he moved to Bakersfield with PG and E and met the love of his life, Mildred Huffman, at the Bakersfield Church of the Brethren and they were married for 65 years before the death of our mom in 2017. They had 3 beautiful daughters, Kathy, Donna and Darlene. Delbert spent 40 years with PG and E. Over the years dad enjoyed traveling, which included many trips to their mobile home in Morro Bay, playing solitaire and marble games. He never missed a ball game, dance recital or graduation of all 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchilden. Attending Church was also a very important part of his life. Everyone who knew Delbert knows his amazing faith and belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dad passed away peacefully at home with his precious family by his side. Delbert is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Rocky), Donna (Mark) and Darlene (Jerry), 9 Grandchildren Tim ( Elaine), Jennifer, Keri (Nick), Kristi (Kenny), Zachary (Danielle), Phillip (Kelli), Katie, Lindsay (Jake) and Jamie (Joey) and 22 Great-children, Kali, Ryleigh, Blayden, Kloe, Maddox, Regan, Brexton, Kambri, Colby, Jaclynn, Karli, Brenna, Jillian, Jacob, Lia, Cooper, Justin, Charlee, Asher, Camden, Corbin and Lincoln.
