It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Donaciano Garza, who passed away at the age of 76 in his Bakersfield home surrounded by his family. Born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico . Donaciano lived a life filled with love, strength, dedication, and an unwavering devotion to his family.
Donaciano was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother ,son, and friend. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, sharing laughter, making memories, and enjoying the simple things that made life beautiful. He loved to dance, tend to his garden, and surround himself with the people he loved most.
During the 1970s, Donaciano was actively involved in the United Farm Workers movement, marching alongside fellow farmworkers in support of workers’ rights and dignity. His involvement reflected his strength, courage, and belief in standing up for others.
Throughout his life, Donaciano faced many challenges, including a long and difficult battle with Parkinson’s disease. Despite his struggles, his love for his family remained constant, and his presence will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. We would like to share our love and gratitude to Alberto Najera and Abigail Najera for the love, care and support they gave to Donaciano during these times.
He is survived by his children . Vivianna Zuniga ( Enrique ) and Emmanuel Garza. Six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and nine siblings. We will continue to carry his love, values, and memories in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son Christopher Garza , his brother and his parents, whom he loved dearly.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his love, laughter, and legacy will live on through the generations of family he leaves behind.
Donaciano will especially be remembered for his infectious smile and loving spirit that seemed to strengthen everyone.
May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before him.
“Dad, thank you for the sacrifices you made, the love you gave, and the memories we will hold close forever. Your hands may no longer tend the garden, and your feet may no longer dance, but your love will continue to bloom in all of us. We love you and will miss you always.”
Love always, Vivianna and Gallo ❤
