Doug, a dedicated family man, was born on January 20, 1955, and passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2025, in Bakersfield, California.
He was a loving father, father in law, papa, brother, and friend. He gave everything for his family and he was an amazing pillar to everyone who knew him. Doug loved the Lord, and gave his life to make his family better. He was a community leader who loved to serve others and lived the gospel message through his example.
He leaves behind his son Matthew (wife Emily, grandsons Mattix and Myles), daughter Christy (husband Beau, Kayla And Tyler). Debra Tisler, former wife and longtime friend. Sister, Marcy.
Preceded in death by brother, Clark Mutchler, sister Janet Howard, Mother Martha Tyrell.
Loved, and never forgotten.
Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, California 93306. He will be laid to rest in the Garden of Resurrection. Further details will be shared as they become available.
