Doyle is survived by his daughters Dana Blake and Stephanie Blake, ex wife and friend Louise Blake, granddaughter Hannah Hamm, step daughter Sherene Kain, step grandchildren Heidi Eien and Richard Kain and several Nieces and Nephews. Doyle is proceeded in death by his parents Elbert and Zona Blake, wife Charlene Blake, sisters RosieLee Koch and Louise Watson, brothers Nelson Blake, Elton Blake, Tom Blake, Harold Blake, Ira Blake and Bill Blake.
Doyle was born November 3, 1933 in Cowden Oklahoma, to Elbert and Zona Blake. The family moved to California in 1937 and resided in the Weedpatch Government Camp for 18 months. He was raised and lived most of his life near Lamont and Bakersfield CA. He attended school at Arvin High School. He worked in construction for John Doss Drywall and Chuck Holloway Construction.
Doyle enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, family gatherings, having coffee with his friends Carl Sullivan, Joe Scroggins and Don James, but most of all he loved to eat.
A chapel service is scheduled for March 30, 2018. The viewing will be @ 9:00am - 10:00am. The funeral starts @ 10:00am followed by graveside @ Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93306. Dennie Watson (nephew) will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Doyle’s life. The family would like to thank Talia Chimerziri with Around the Clock Care and Hoffman Hospice for the excellent care provided to Doyle during his final weeks. Thank you to niece, Kelly Blake for all your help, and family and friends who offered prayers and support.
