Elaine attended Bakersfield High School and graduated in 1974. She met the love of her life, Neal Perkins while working at the State of California Dept. of Water Resources and spent twenty wonderful years together until his passing in 2011. Elaine enjoyed volunteering. She was a Gold Star Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as a supporter of the American Red Cross.
She is survived by her daughter I'Esha Perkins (David Benham), granddaughter Arianna Perkins Benham, her brother Ernest Gonzales (Vickie), sister-in-law Joanna Hood and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Marcos S. and Esperanza (Hope) Gonzales and her brothers Johnny, Tommy and Mark Gonzales and her husband Neal Perkins.
Elaine will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her, especially her furry friends Camelo, Figaro, Zepplin and Sarge.
