It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Esperanza Banales Vda de Mendez, who was born August 10, 1937 to Manuel Flores Banales and Andrea Miranda Banales in Mexico and passed away on May 12, 2025 in Bakersfield, CA. Esperanza left an incredible impact on all those around her and will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Services for Esperanza have been scheduled and are as follows: A visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 6-8 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd., Bakersfield, CA 93306. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic church, 1515 Baker St., Bakersfield, CA 93305, and graveside will follow immediately after at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd., Bakersfield, CA 93306.
