Eva was born Nov 2, 1940, in Antlers, OK, to Jimmie and Jewell McDade. Eva had a sister, Jimmie Marie, born on Nov 22, 1941. Their mother, Jewell Mcdade, left her home in Oklahoma, with her two young daughters to be with her parents, Rufus and Lorena Wheeler, and her other brothers and sisters, then living in Kern County, California.
Eva’s mother, Jewell met and later married, Roy Austin Webster, in Wasco, California. Jewell and Roy never had children together, but raised their daughters (Eva and Jimmie) up to understand they were Roy’s girls. Eva and Jimmie started going to school in Wasco Elementary when Jimmie became school age; because Eva was so tiny at the time that she was eligible to start school, their mother decided to start them together. Therefore, they were often mistaken as being twins. They were assigned each year to be in the same classrooms together, from first grade throughout the eighth grade, graduating from Thomas Jefferson Jr. High in 1955 and Wasco High School in 1959.
Eva lived in Bakersfield in several branches of local banks. She later obtained a position in the West High School Library and Audio Department. She retired from that position, because her then husband Carl Ingle had a stroke and was not able to be left alone. After Carl passed away in 2002, Eva met, and later married Hutch Hutchings, in 2003. Hutch passed away on July 9, 2023.
Eva was preceded in death by her father, Roy Webster; mother, Jewell Webster; husband Carl Ingle; husband Hutch Hutchings; and brother-in-law, Don Ratliff.
Eva is survived by sister, Jimmie Ratliff, uncle, Lawrence Wheeler and wife Marie, aunts, Leona Mote, of Ojai, CA and Leota Priest of Tucson, AZ; stepson, Shannan Hutchings and wife Dina; step daughter, Heather Henisey and husband Kyle, nephews, Randy Ratliff and wife Katie; Greg Ratliff and Gia; great nephews, Ryan and Rylee Ratliff of Bakersfield.
