February 2, 1925 - March 26, 2018
Our sweet mom passed away on March 26, 2018, at the age of 93. She moved to Bakersfield in 1945 and met the love of her life, Ken Acord. Jerry was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, and her brother Rodney deGraaf.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Gary) Robinson, Patty (Pat) Preston and Linda (Alick) Mullen-Munro. Jerry is also survived by her brother, Gary Clark, six grandchildren and five great granddaughters.
Jerry took such great pride in raising her three daughters as she was such a loving and devoted mother. She enjoyed crafts, reading, gardening and was an excellent seamstress. In her senior years she lived in Kern City and loved her exercise class. She called the group her second family. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by family, especially during the holidays.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Pacifica Senior Living and Jennifer and Lauren from Optimal Hospice Care for their care and kindness.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 30, 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary.
