We announce the passing of Hector Angel Guzman (Chito Boi), who passed away surrounded by his loved ones on July 20,2021. He will be forever loved and remembered for the big heart he had and rooms he filled with laughter.
He leaves a legacy of a warrior, who continued to fight and never give up. Hector loved the simple things in life, from working on cars, reselling goods, helping animals in need as well as being an advocate for mental health awareness. He loved, cared, and was always there for others despite the challenges he faced. He was known for his great knowledge, business man attributes, and grand heart.
He is survived by His Mother Bernice Medrano, Step Father Abel Medrano, four siblings, Seressa Irene , Sariyah Luz , Ricky Antonio, Ethan Adam Rolando, cousin Joche (Jose) Alexander, and Grandparents Irene and Miguel Sanchez. Hector fought a difficult battle with mental/physical illness and is finally free from suffering and at peace.
He will truly be missed but will forever live within us all. We love you Chito boy, always.
A visitation for Hector will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
His Funeral will occur Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St Francis Parish, 900 H Street, Bakersfield, CA 93304. His graveside will follow his Celebration of Life at 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. Hector will be laid to rest in Lasting Memories Garden.
