She was born to Inga Lofgren and Anders Swanson and had 3 older siblings, Emeroy, Paul, and Mary Ann.
Having grown up as a pastor‘s daughter in Minnesota and North Dakota, she took her faith seriously.
In 1956, after graduating from Jamestown University she married Marvin Wolfer. They immediately moved to California where they raised their family together.
Jean went back to teaching after their last child was born. She taught math at Lincoln Junior High in Taft for many years before moving to Arvin High School to continue teaching math. She loved teaching and would make extra time to help students who struggled. After retiring, she became active in her church and even went to the Philippines to minister. She was a prayer warrior and fasted many lunches praying for her children. She spent many years active in AM Aglow where she served as president for three years.
After Marvin‘s death, she married CW Faucett and together they became chaplains ministering to Crossroads Youth Facility, and other places. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing and traveling. She did not hesitate to take on a project she felt needed to be done which included wallpapering and refinishing furniture. She even designed and sewed her own wedding dress that was worn for three more weddings by her daughters and daughter-in-law. She gave perms to family members.
She is survived by her four children Debby (Don) Clark, Joel Wolfer, David (Kristi) Wolfer and Becky (Craig) Powers, 10 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but we know that she is at peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
We wish to thank her caregivers at 3 Angels Care Facility and Hoffman Hospice.
