Jeffrey James Malone Jr and Caylee Louise Brown

Jeffrey James Malone Jr. was born March 25, 2002 in Bakersfield, California. To parents Jeffrey Malone and Candice Reese.

JJ attended schools in Bakersfield, California were he grew up. As a child and young adult JJ loved anything to do with the outdoors. He loved to camp. SK8ing, riding his bike and old cars and trucks. When he wasn't outside you would find him in his room with his nose to paper or canvas.

JJ could be described in one word......PASSIONATE. His passion was so big he couldn't help but embrace everything and everyone around him. When JJ was little and he lost his binky, he expected EVERYONE in the house to help look for it whether they wanted to or not. And when his hot wheel of the week wasn't where he "left" it... Mandatory search party! MANDATORY

As he got older, you could see his passion in his many interests. JJ loved music! He didn't have one band, or one genre. Whatever song spoke to him at the time, he loved it! If that song happened to come on in the car, it meant everyone loved it too. He would turn it all the way up and get all the kids to rock out and sing with him!

The thing about passion is you always are ALL in. This was never more clear than when JJ disagreed with something or someone. If you have ever argued a point with him you would understand. Everyone knew his feelings on the situation, and he made sure of that.

Bedtime as a child was a chore for the adults,...... you see when JJ had to turn off his video games, there were a million reasons why you were wrong. And he knew everyone of them. And shared them with you LOUDLY.

Arguments always ran pretty hot.

But JJ LOVED the same way.

When he was in love with someone or something he wanted everyone to know it. He would tell anyone who would listen.

He was so good with animals and loved them so much he was always taking in stays.

Another love was riding his bikes and skateboards. He would spend countless hours practicing a new trick. When he finally got it, he would call everybody to come out and watch him do it.

He loved cars, old cars and trucks.... so he could tell you anything and everything about them.

He lived his life on his own terms.

During a thunder and lightning storm in Texas, JJ ran out of the house and was dancing in the rain. Even though everyone was YELLING for him to come in before he got struck by lightning he was dancing and laughing uncontrollably.

JJ an incredibly talented artist drew with such passion and detail you couldn't help but be in awe. Sticking to who he was when drawing. You would first see the large focal point, which was amazing, but the more you looked at it the little details began pop out and come to life.

JJ's sister Lilly recently shared a little story that she feels summed up her big brother.

When we lived in Texas the weather called for snow overnight. JJ and I (Lilly) were so excited that he convinced Bam am I to stay up with him all night watching movies and waiting for the snow to start falling. We all eventually fell asleep only to wake up to snow and it snowing! I remember catching snowflakes and dancing outside with JJ and Bam. I don't remember there being a lot of snow stuck to the ground. However that didn't stop my brother JJ from starting a snowball fight with us! We eventually went back in freezing, for hot chocolate. This is what my brother did. You see he made ordinary things extraordinary.

It can be very difficult to raise someone that is passionate about all the little things.

JJ made a BIG deal of the little things. As he grew older he started to focus on the bigger things in life. He recently got his drivers permit. He passed on the first try. He was so excited he had to show everyone the actual permit.

His family wants anyone out there to know that if you're, that passionate soul...... that finds joy...... in the small things...... don't ever let anyone stop you.

The rest of us are the ones that need to learn from JJ. Sure the big things matter, but so does the legacy of JJ and the small things that we will now will pause and see... dance in the rain, turn that song up loud, take time for art, and see snowballs even when it seems impossible. If you look hard enough you might just see JJ right next to you, still enjoying the small things in life.

JJ you were larger than life, we are all better for knowing you, and you will never be forgotten.

We can't wait to see your newest sketches, this isn't good bye.

JJ's also leaves behind his Mother Candice Brown, siblings Pazia Brown, Daltin Brown, and Colby Brown. Grandparents Virginia Fry (Nana) and Grandpa Randy Embers. Many Uncles, Aunts and cousins. An abundance of friends, and his girlfriend Amanda Rendon.

Walking along the side of JJ and Caylee is also their Dog Roxy. Who will be joining them in Christ's Kingdom.

Caylee Louise Brown was born January 6, 2011 in Bakersfield, California. To parents Dustin Brown and Candice Reese.

Caylee attended school in Bakersfield, California. Caylee had a love for animals dolphins were her favorite! Like most little girls you could find her watching tik-tok dances and getting her wiggles out.

Caylee often would tell her Mommy, "Mom, you just wait! I'm going to drive a Tesla!!" Where her love for this car came from no one knows..

One of her favorite movies is Beauty and the Beast, she loved Belle. Her hair, her gown, the way she sang and danced...

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.

Funeral service will occur Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Canyon Hills Assembly of God, 7001 Auburn Street, Bakersfield, California 93306.

And a PRIAVTE graveside service (immediate family only) will occur Friday, January 7, 2022, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, California 93306.
