Jessica Julia Juarez, born on November 12, 1968, in Bakersfield, California, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2026. She resided in her hometown her entire life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness.
Jessica was the cherished daughter of the late Gabriel Juarez, a Korean War Veteran, and her mother, Eva Juarez. She was the youngest of her siblings.
Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving her community through her work with the Department of Human Services, Public Defenders Office, and the Kern County Probation Department. Her commitment and compassion touched countless lives.
Jessica was affectionately known as "Pooh," a nickname that reflected her gentle yet resilient spirit.
A woman of unwavering strength and deep love, Jessica was a devoted mother to her daughters Desiree, Mariah, and Megan, and a loving grandmother to Jacob, 16, and Abigail, 2. Her world revolved around her family; she lived for her daughters and grandchildren. She often said that the birth of her grandson, Jacob, changed her life forever.
Jessica was known for her unwavering love for her family, vibrant personality, sharp wit, and infectious laugh that lit up every room. Her legacy of compassion, resilience, and joy will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Jessica is survived by her mother, Eva; her siblings Anthony (Lupita), Dorothy, and Debra; her beloved daughters Desiree (Ismael), Mariah (Jose), and Megan; her grandchildren Jacob and Abigail; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held at The Collective, located at 931 19th St, Bakersfield, California, 93301, on February 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The committal service will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, California, 93306, on February 2, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
