Jose Luis Praxedis Gonzalez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Luis Praxedis Gonzalez, age 26, of Bakersfield, California, who left this world on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on September 13, 1998, in San Diego, California, Jose was a cherished son, brother, and friend.

Jose loved many things in life, from his favorite show, Rick and Morty, to sipping his favorite Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino from Starbucks. He enjoyed learning to play the guitar, sharing moments outdoors with his family, and fishing.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Jose is survived by his mother, Jayne Anguiano; stepfather, Miguel Anguiano; brothers Anthony Lopez, Miguel Lopez, and Israel Anguiano; and sisters Francis Gonzalez, Eriana Gurnee, Isabel, Letty, and Jennifer Anguiano. He is also remembered by his beloved nieces and nephews: Nova, Nevaeh, Sage, Legend, and Delayza.

Jose’s presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Rest in peace, Jose Luis.

He will be privately laid to rest.
