Juanita Peterson Martin December 6, 1937 - July, 27 2011 Juanita was received into God's loving arms on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She passed away quietly in the hospital. She was born at home on December 6, 1937 in Chesnee, South Carolina to Noah and Flora Mae Peterson. She married her husband Jerry of 54 years on February 13, 1957. She worked in the supermarkets for a few years before she started her 13 year career driving a bus for The Bakersfield City Schools. A job she loved because she loved all the children that rode on her bus. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Cardwell; son, Chuck Martin and his wife Amber; son, Jeff Martin; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, John, Max and Ralph and sisters, Ann, Ruby and Betty; numerous nieces and nephews. She'll be missed greatly by her family and friends. She'll be remembered for her strength and courage. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 4-6 pm at Hillcrest Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
