Julia had many dear friends that she kept close contact with throughout the years. Julia grew up in Bakersfield, California and lived here all her life. She worked at KMC for 17 years before going to the Bakersfield Californian and retired from there after 15 years. After retiring she became a housewife and spent her life sharing it with her husband just doing the things they enjoyed together. Julia was an amazing person who would do anything for anyone. "No" was rarely a part of her vocabulary because she had such a good heart, always giving her time to help when help was needed. Music was her passion and earned her the nick name Diana Ross. Anytime we hear oldies we will remember her with the music on and her singing. Julia was unique with her funny quirks, her ability to speak honestly and the gift she had to make you laugh. Julia was just a happy person full of laughter and joy. That is how she will be remembered. Julia attended Valley Bible and loved the Lord. She never hesitated to invite you to go to Church with her. Now she leaves us and far too soon, but Jesus called her home. We know that she has obtained her goal and is now walking with her Savior. Words cannot speak loud enough and our emotions cannot express enough how much we love and already miss you. Until we see you again, you will always be our JEWEL. We love you so very much and everyday you will be remembered with all of our love, Your family and friends. Services to be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m., 9101 Kern Canyon Rd.
