April 28, 1943 — December 22, 2025
Karen Plaskett, born to Dorothy and Grover Hampton on 4.28.43, went to be with her Heavenly Father on 12.22.25. Her loving family includes Warren, her husband of 62 years, and her four daughters, Gail Olson, Gwen Wilcox and her husband Danny, Robin Napier and Steve, and Becky Bentley and Todd, as well as her 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Karen’s entire life was in service to God and her boisterous family. Her generosity was palpable, and everything she did was at the hands and feet of her husband, children, and grandchildren.
She attended Bethany Bible College, where she sang in the choir and wrote for the school paper. She and Warren made great sacrifices to bring music into their home, and she taught her daughters to harmonize in three parts around the piano. The family quickly became recurring singers at every church they attended.
Her gentle, sweet nature stretched past her family as she cared for foster kids and babies, committed herself to service in the church, and helped build her husband’s business. When her children needed prayer, she was their first call, as some would say she had a direct line to Jesus. Now she will spend eternity at His side.
She was incredibly adventurous; you could often find her riding horses, driving quads, killing the occasional rattlesnake, and longing to be near any body of water. Her competitive card playing, extra-special mashed potatoes, fighting spirit, and musical talents will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Olive Knolls Church of the Nazarene, 6201 Fruitvale Avenue.
