I can't remember when I first met Ken. It was a long time ago. We attended South High together.  It is there that I remember Ken as a great friend. When I went to Sears I made a  point to see if he was working just so we could talk. Ken you will be missed. I hoped the best for your family.  Gary Kozy

Shirley Blagg prayers go out to the family

I met Ken in 66 my freshman year at South. I had PE with him and was a little scared with the new HS scene. Ken was a big upper classman who made me feel comfortable when he didn't have to. Always was a pleasure to run into him around town or at Sears.  Wonderful guy. Denise and I are very sorry for your loss

Ken was one of my best friends in high school and I will never forget the times we had along with two other friends. There are so many memories of those times it's hard to pick out just one. But the one I remember most is the time 3 of us took a train to LA to enlist in the service. Ken and I never enlisted but all 3 of us came back with tattoos. When his mother picked us up at the train station, she was not happy!

Uncle Ken was definitely a role model. He was the shining star of the Woodard family. For two young girls who were the outsiders, he was someone to look up to. He always made us feel loved. He would take time to talk with us when we show up at Sears just to say, hi Uncle Ken. He had a way of making everyone feel important. He took such good care of grandma. Both he and Aunt Paula always showed up for support when it counted.. weddings, graduation, and the death of my mom. His efforts to treat us as part of the family was not overlooked and will not be forgotten. We love you Uncle Ken, you were love and will be greatly missed.

I worked at Sears in the late 70's in TV's, right next to appliances.  I remember Ken always having a smile and a kind word for everyone he came in contact with.  I left Sears many years ago, but always looked for Ken when it was time for a new appliance.  He was a sweet man and I am blessed to have known him just a little bit.  I am so truly sorry for your loss.

I will never forget our camping trips to Carpinteria.  Feeding the ducks and being careful so the "bulligators" didn't get us.  My boys cherish those memories.
