Leopold Jerome Stanley Valek

A proud veteran, Bud honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.

In July of 1966, Bud met Sandra Jean in Bakersfield, and it was love at first sight. The couple married just two months later on September 3rd, beginning a beautiful 60-year journey of shared devotion. Bud spent his entire life fiercely caring for his beloved Sandy. With over four decades of hands-on mechanical expertise, he ended his career retiring from Bechtel Oil.

Behind his calm and composed exterior, was an intelligent, funny, and incredibly loving man with a heart of gold. Bud's memory will be forever cherished by his wife, and all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Juanita, and his son, Michael. Bud leaves behind his wife Sandy, his daughter, Amy Valek and grand daughter, Samantha Valek, along with his great-grand children, and close friends, Rene and Valerie Baeza.

Visitation will be held Thursday July 23rd from 5:00 - 7:00 pm

at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Angel del Funeral Home.
