The world lost a bright and spirited presence on June 3, 2026, when Leslie Anne Oberholzer (Depew) passed away at the age of 78. To those fortunate enough to know her, Leslie was a source of energy, conversation, and connection—a woman who brought life to every room she entered and made even ordinary moments feel meaningful.
Leslie lived with a natural spark that never dimmed. She was energetic, always moving toward something that inspired her. She was conversational, able to draw people in with her curiosity and warmth. She was engaging, making others feel valued and heard. And she was deeply passionate, pouring her heart into the people and pursuits she cared about most.
She had a gift for making others feel seen. Whether she was sharing a lively story, offering thoughtful advice, or simply listening with her full attention, Leslie created space for genuine connection. Her presence lifted spirits, sparked laughter, and left lasting impressions on everyone she met.
Leslie is survived by her husband: Roy Otto Oberholzer (80) and her children: Marc Sean and Dora Oberholzer (55 & 49), Melissa Dianne and Gary Hieronymus (Oberholzer) (52 & 60), Melanie Dawn Oberholzer (51), Matthew Shane Oberholzer and Breanna Formica (43 & 36). She is also lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren, 4 doggie grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. She was preceded in death by her son, Micheal Sven Oberholzer (4), whom she now joins in peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 AM, followed by a graveside service at 10:30 AM, at: Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest & Hillcrest Memorial Park 9101 Kern Canyon Road Bakersfield, CA 93306
