Lew was the one you go to when you are stressed.
He had the grace and the ability to listen and help you find the strength in yourself. I can’t remember how many times I visited him to seek help and advice only to leave smiling.
He was an expert in so many things and life issues. He was an embodiment of wisdom. He was able to make you feel comfortable in any and all situation. I couldn’t remember anytime he was upset or angry or mad with anyone or any situation. He was a man of PEACE. A class on his own, good personality and great character. He was Respectful, humble, generous, cool, calm, and loving.
You fought a good fight Lew, Heaven is pleased to have you now, after all they loaned you to us. I did enjoy knowing you. Thanks for sharing and giving so much. You live in my memory for ever. Hope to see you one day.
Rest In Peace, Lew, oh Man of Peace.

Lew was a good man and a good friend ! He was so smart and talented at his trade . He didn’t have to work all day because he could do 8.0 worth of work in just a couple hours. Every time I called him he would answer and say “ Smith is this you “. I will truly miss him as I know many others will to !

I met Lew in 1980 at Quality frame on baker st. Since then we worked out at the gyms for many years together. We played golf together every Sunday for I count how many years. Lew was a great friend and a person I have looked up to since the day we meet. He was a gentle soul I will miss dearly.

I met Lewis and Esther when I met Glen back in 1987. He welcomed me with open arms and was a great friend, who felt more like family. He and Glen had been friends for like 40 years or more. I remember cooking for them to take on their annual hunting trips, I always got his opinion on what he would like. He was an amazing friend to Glen, to me and our boys. Rest in Peace Lewis, you will be greatly missed. Give Glen a big hug for me when you see him in heaven. Love you my friend. Big hugs for Esther and your family.
