I have many special memories of Lloyd and Ester coming to my parents home when Lloyd was in the Army in TX.  Loved his humor and poems.  Glad for the times we have been together since at the reunions and convention.

I so well remember the thrill Lloyd expressed when you folks moved onto the grounds at Parma of it being one of the happiest days of his life.  Have special memories of so many preps with you folks there and glad for time with you when in CA for Specials three years ago.  Know many thoughts and prayers are with you these days.  Jane B.

Dear Auntie Esther, Ron, Sue, & Karen,
Uncle Lloyd was a wonderful uncle.  I loved his easy laugh and jokes.  It was wonderful to hear his voice whenever he called me on my birthdays.  Both Uncle Lloyd and Auntie Esther have shown a love, care and support to me through the years.  I loved his faithfulness and dedication to our God and His Kingdom.  I have enjoyed thinking of his welcome and reunion on the other side.  Thinking of you all as you adjust your lives without him.  You have wonderful memories that will be a comfort to you.

To Esther and all Lloyd's family:

I'm feeling a bit emotional tonight with memories of Lloyd and all he meant to so many of us. Between his deep faith and his quick and hearty laugh, he was able to negotiate many a storm in life, and bring calm in the face of stresses. He encouraged my soul. I felt so welcomed by him, whether at Parma, or the time he drove 2 hours each way to bring me from LA to have some time in your Bakersfield home. I won't forget the humor: the "Mr. and Mrs. Nester" story from Parma days, nor the "Cow that jumped over the Lynx". And I won't forget his spirit and service as he goes now to his eternal reward. Thinking of you all at the funeral tomorrow...

Dear Ester and family.  We've most certainly lost a most beloved man.  How deeply grateful we are to have had the distinct privelege of getting to know him--his friendly smile; his laugh and most of all, his spiritualness!!!  He left a profound impact on our lives. Esther, Ron, Sue & Karen - our tho'ts are there with you so much these days and tho' we are happy for him to be released from his tired body, we know he'll be greatly missed by all because he was much loved. Governor Lloyd & First Lady 2 very special people who touch my life both in and out of the work.  I remember one day walking across Parma convention grounds I met the Governor and it just came out of my mouth, "hello Floyd" he was speechless. Later I understood that was not a name he was fond of. That is when he became Governor Lloyd and of course he had First Lady by his side. Both of you have touched so many lives, and I am glad I was one of those lives. The Governor kept his humor even when some of us workers would tease him, but most of all we loved him for his wonderful faithfulness to his God. His faithfulness has lead him to a rejoicing victory. He will be miss by many of us holding wonderful memories.  My thot are with you First Lady, & Karen special thots go to you also, & family   With deep appreciation and Love BJ Ashlock

I met Lloyd while working at Glenwood Gardens. He was such a sweetheart and a true man of God. While working at Glenwood he adopted me as his granddaughter. I am going to miss Lloyd alot. My thoughts and prayers are with Esther and the family.

Many thoughts go your way these days.  With thanks for all you both meant to us here.

The kindness and brotherly love that Lloyd and Esther have shown to our family and to myself all these many years will never be forgotten.  I've been moving some of the onion boxes around, out on old Apple Valley Road,in Parma, and seeing "BONE 87" or "BONE 82" stamped on some of them has kept me remembering happy days there, and brought back many memories, of Bakersfield days, with Lloyd, Esther, Ron, Sue, Karen, and my brother, Kirk, and all the good friends there.   Lloyd will remain in my memory as one of the kindest and most compassionate men I have ever known.

Thinking of you all with love and thanks for all your faithfullness thru' the years in giving of your best to the Master and the Kingdom.
