

Lorraine was born in New Mexico and moved to Santa Maria, California where she met the love of her life, Frank Torres. This would end up being a love story and a perfect example of what true love is: A LOVE THAT WOULD BE FOREVER.
Frank and Lorraine were married 66 years and faithfully raised 14 children. Sons: Frank (Karen), Jesse, James, Philip (Cheryll), Fred (Lynn), Lance (Gogi), John (Theresa), Joel (Arvina). Daughters: Rosalie (Tony) Espinoza, Mary (Lupe) Almaraz, Lorrie (Frank) Lozano, Irene (Chris) Torres, Anna (Chris) Torres, Suzie Torres.
She will be remembered for her cooking, sewing, singing, love of the beach and always putting others first. Her greatest passions were her love for the Lord through her strong Catholic faith and her devotion to a special man her husband and best friend “Dad” and her children.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Frank Torres and a legacy of 87 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sisters: Alice (Joe) Campilli, Mable Reed, and Rosie (Frank) Montez.
She is preceded in death by her son Jesse Torres, Daughter-in-law Lynn Torres, Son-in-law Tony Espinoza and Great Grandchildren Emma and Abigail Hoetker.
Her pallbearers will be her surviving sons: Frank, James, Philip, Fred, Lance, John and Joel.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Calvin Kubo, Deanna Salyards FNP-C, Vito Almaraz PA-C, Memorial Hospital ICU Nurse Shirley and Staff and all of the Hoffman Hospice Staff, the clergy of St. Francis Parish, Monsignor Craig, Father Anton and Mr. James Feliz for their kindness and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary with viewing on Thursday from 5 to 9 and 6 p.m. Rosary. Mass and Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10 a.m. Saint Francis Church, 900 H Street, with Burial to follow at Hillcrest Mortuary.
