Mabel Joy Wilson, born on August 4, 1930, in Hood, Oregon, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, in Bakersfield, California, at the age of 95. She was the second youngest of 14 children born to Adolf and Mary Patereau, and her life was a testament to love, dedication, and unwavering faith.

Mabel was a devoted wife to Roy Wilson for nearly 30 years. She was also a proud mother of two sons from a previous marriage, Dave and Starlen, and was cherished as a mother figure by Roy’s two daughters, Brenda and Debbie. Family was the heart of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

An exceptional baker, Mabel delighted in making pastries and pies, often sharing her sweet creations with family and friends. Her home was a sanctuary of cleanliness and order, reflecting her passion for being an excellent housekeeper. She was a 100% homemaker, dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who visited.

Faith and morals played a significant role in Mabel’s life. Her strong religious beliefs guided her decisions and shaped her compassionate and caring nature. She was known for her kindness, integrity, and gentle spirit.

Mabel’s love for adventure was evident in her travels with Roy. Together, they explored many places in their fifth wheel, pulled by a trusty Ford Ranger, creating memories that she cherished dearly.

She leaves behind her two loving sons Dave and Starlen, and two daughters Brenda and Debbie. She also leaves behind three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
