

Peggy Mueller, Born Margaret Clairmont Mueller on December 2, 1944, in Savannah, Georgia to Paul Gerhart Mueller and his wife Margaret Clairmont Mueller. Peggy’s father was a Colonel in the Army and taught Peggy how to be an expert marksman. Peggy’s love for horses was developed at a young age on her parent’s property in the Pacific Palisades area. Peggy would ride her horses on former President Reagan’s property as they were acquaintances. Reagan was Peggy’s Republican hero and she was devoted to her party and was a true American Patriot. Peggy had a stellar career in Real Estate for over 40 years and was one of California’s top brokers and agents. Peggy’s was a truly gifted painter and would always evoke awe from her house guests when they saw her work on canvas. Peggy spent her life helping others, being an advocate for animals, driving very cool cars, enjoying her beloved family from her partnerships, and being an avid water girl. Peggy was one of the first female lifeguards in Santa Monica and Malibu, but was not allowed to guard on the beach, only at the pools. The ocean was Peggy’s soul mate and her favorite place have a meal was Paradise Cove, Malibu. Peggy was a foodie and exploring great food was her to-do list. Peggy spent her last 25 years on her beloved property in Bear Valley Springs with her long time partner Christine Fath. Peggy built the 3 acre property up and customized it with a barn, master mason built fireplace, and plenty of room for family. The horses, dogs, hawks, elk, cats, quail, bobcats, and all the other animals were always welcome on their property. Peggy’s learning and vast knowledge of history, horses, language, art, armory and many more subjects never ceased to impress. Country music held a special place in Peggy’s heart as well. Peggy will be dearly missed.
Peggy is predeceased by her parents and her beloved longtime partner Christine Joan Fath (deceased 2016). Peggy is survived by; her brother Paul “Gary” Mueller, Ventura, her children from her partnership with Viola Barnett (deceased), Donald Barnett and his wife Kristy Barnett, Ventura, Deborah Hughes and her husband John Hughes, Palmdale, Dennis Barnett and his wife Amparo Barnett of San Diego. Peggy’s nieces from the Fath side, Sonja Weeks, Capitola, Mary Carr, Oregon, and Danielle Davis, Germany. Peggy’s stepbrother Monroe Parsons, Georgia.
Peggy’s services will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Friday October 24, 2025 at noon where she will be laid to rest near her father Paul Gerhart Mueller. Please put another log on the fire and raise a glass to our dear friend Peggy!
