Marguerite "Bachie" Errecart Ferdinand

Mom was born Oct. 25, 1924 to Peter and Mary Errecart in Bakersfield, CA.

She married our Father Jack in 1948 and raised two daughters, Jenet and Denise.

Mom devoted her life to her family. She was proud of her Basque heritage. Marguerite was a

Lifetime member of the Kern County Basque Club and the Bo-Peeps Auxiliary,

spending many volunteer hours on Cookbook projects and Make It Yourself with Wool.

She cooked with the same love she gave to her family. You never left her house hungry!

Services will be Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her two sisters

Mary Jane Hofferd and Katherine Sawyer. Mom is survived by her: two daughters,

Jenet Onstott of Las Vegas; Denise Ferdinand of Bakersfield; granddaughter,

Lisa Onstott of Las Vegas; two step grandsons, Jake and Mark Onstott; and numerous

nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rick Sawyer, John Sawyer, Rusty Ferdinand, Dr. M.C. Barnard,

Garry Kornbau and John Etcheverry. Visitation is scheduled on Friday, April 19, 2013

from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the following address: Shriners

Such a kind and caring person always willing to help others whenever she was needed.
