Martin Chernek Jr., age 96, of Bakersfield, California passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Martin was born October 9, 1923 in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania.

A visitation for Martin will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4500 Buena Vista Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311. A graveside service will occur Friday, September 18, 2020, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.

Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Chernek, James Chernek, Brian Ewing, John Ewing and Connor Ewing.
