You were on my mind today. I was thinking about South Carolina and how much I missed all of the people I met there and memories of hanging out with you were on top of the list of the best times I had there. You randomly walking into my house to borrow eggs without asking, you and the others kidnapping me and taking me to ihop, going to the movies to watch warm bodies together. I miss you.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. It has been a year since I was supposed to fly down there to see you. I keep asking myself what if I had gone there to see you and stayed for a while, would that have changed things. I never thought you and I would never see each other again. I miss you so much Melelik! Not a day goes but that i don't think about you!

    I met Melelik when my son came home to Florida to visit, he asked if some of his buddies could come and stay with us too...Melelik was one if those young men. Stewart, as we all knew him, was a light that lit up whatever room he walked into. He was so polite and respectful, I did not hesitate to have him stay in my home a second time. I am so saddened by all of this and just do not understand. My heartfelt condolences and prayers for peace and healing go out to family and friends of this incredible young man.

Melelik was the most well-mannered and kind boy I have ever met.  He always brought the best out of people and would do everything and anything he could to brighten a persons day.  Receiving his phone calls and text messages was a bright spot in my day.  He made sure that we knew how special we were to him.  I only hope he knows how special he was to us.  To the Stewart family, my heartfelt condolences.  Mama Celeste, you raised an amazing young man and you and your family will forever be in our prayers.
