Micaela, 87, passed away in her sleep late Thursday evening. She was born in Friona Texas, Survived by her children, Francisco Farrera, Linda Ochoa, Geronimo Ochoa, Sylvia Guzman and Michael Ochoa, She had 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Micaela moved to Bakersfield, California in 1962, where she settled and raised her children. A self-educated woman who was employed by Sears Roebuck. She retired in 1996.
"Milly" Loved Mariachi music, ballroom dancing and enjoyed a round of golf. She loved, laughed and lived life, In lieu of flowers we request that you donate to the Alzheimer's charity in Micaela's name. She is finally at peace and at rest with her mother and savior.
Rosary/ Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at Hillcrest Memorial from 4:00-7:00 pm. Mass will take place Monday, January 23, 2017, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 10:00 am; burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial (9101 Kern Canyon Rd., Bakersfield, CA) Reception is at 1:00 pm at Fraternal Orders of Eagles (1718 17th St).
