Miriam (“Mim”) Kathryn Fox, of Fort Morgan, Colorado, was born March 11, 1928, and passed peacefully on September 27, 2022. A devoted wife and mother to three, she was the sweetest soul with heavenly blue eyes and a tender touch. While attending Barnes Business College in Denver, Colorado, she met her husband of 75 years, Douglas Fox. The couple spent the early years of their relationship dancing at Elitch’s Gardens in Denver before marrying in Fort Morgan. As newlyweds, they made their way west intending to relocate to the Bay Area. A visit with Mim’s sister, Shirley, in Bakersfield, California, led to their longtime residency in the Central Valley. With the love and partner of her life, Mim raised a family in Bakersfield where she enjoyed golfing, playing piano, and singing in the choir at First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ed and James Weber, sister Shirley, and daughter Sandra. She is survived by her husband Douglas H. Fox, sister Joanne Waltz, children Sharon Fox and Douglas A. Fox, six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Height Street Skilled Care and Hoffman Hospice Home for helping care for our beloved “Gran”.
