Mitch Anthony Royal, affectionately known as “Pablo,” passed away, leaving behind a life marked by loyalty, strength, and generosity. From a young age, Anthony had a gift for working with his hands. He truly was a Royalty Handyman. he approached every task with pride and precision, just ask the people who worked beside him. Some of the jobs he worked were Haversack Tile, San Joaquin fencing, Premier pools, & countless other work. He also loved working for Monsignor Father Craig where him and his brother Michael would receive spiritual guidance. construction wasn’t just a job—it was part of who he was: a builder, a craftsman, and a dependable source of support for those around him. Anthony & Michael were not only brothers but best friends. In God's grace the two are reunited once again. We imagine their laughter echoing through heaven and Anthony continuing to be Michael’s biggest fan. The bond they built in this life made whole and unbroken in the next. Though their absence leaves a deep ache, knowing they are together brings comfort to those who loved them dearly.
Family was at the center of Anthonys world. He helped raise his brother and sisters and became a strong foundation for his nieces and nephews growing up. He was a devoted father to Johnathan Royal, who gave him his strength in his last few years of life. They enjoyed building things together and although it was difficult for him some days, you could find Anthony taking Jonathon to school every morning.
Anthony leaves behind his beloved son Johnathon Royal, his loving mother, Ruby Silvas Luera; his father and stepmother, Mitch and Christina Royal; and his siblings Melissa, Cheri, and Paris Royal; Paige Johnston; Steven Quintanilla; Alec Royal; and David Johnston. Anthony also remains forever connected to Rosie Alarcon, mother of his son Johnathan and brother Vincent and Hector Castillo.
His presence will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews—Caleb, Selena, Michael, Gianna, Ehlani, Brayden, and Mila—each of whom he adored in his own way. Anthony also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who valued his loyalty, his hard work, and his big-hearted nature. Throughout the years you could find Anthony extending his home to his friends who always became family thereafter. The east side will always be his forever home, and his friends will forever hold a piece of him.
Anthony is preceded in death by his brother Michael Royal, cousin Joseph Royal, grandparents Manuel & Josephine Silvas and Johnny & Gloria Royal, his uncle Lawrence Silvas, and many friends who welcomed him home with open arms.
Those who knew Anthony will remember a man who lived with purpose, worked with pride, and loved with everything he had. His presence was strong, his kindness steady, and his impact immeasurable. Though he will be deeply missed, the foundation he built in the lives of others will stand forever.
May he rest in peace.
