On August 1st, 2021, Patricia Ann White left this world. Though we are heartbroken that she is gone, we have peace knowing that she is no longer in pain and has been reunited in Heaven with her mother Doris, father Sam, brothers Sammy and Jimmy, and sister Kathleen (you are all together again, Mom.)
Mom was born on Friday, January 13th, 1947, in Bakersfield, California. She had five children with her first husband, Tom Gonzales. Prior to retiring from Kern Co. Planning in 2006, mom worked at Bill Lees and Sinaloa as a waitress (we will never forget her tip cups at home), was a bookkeeper, an instructional aide, and was a business owner.
On March 13th, 1999, a mutual friend introduced mom to John White. Three short months later, they were married. John shared mom's love of camping and being outdoors. Whether they were home or traveling in their motorhome or fifth wheel, mom and John created a beautiful life with one another. They were blessed to share 22 years together, with John by her side until the end.
One of mom's greatest passions was coaching softball. She coached for FJBC for over 20 years, where she met many of her lifelong friends. She had a positive impact on those she coached, instilling a desire to win, to reach, and to play with sportsmanship. She would never let her girls be sore losers or bad winners. We will forever remember the trips to Pizzaville and baseball picnics with mom.
What mom loved most of all was her family. She always said, "Your friends may come and go, but your family will always be your family." We will always hold those words in our hearts and do our best to make her proud.
Those left to remember our mom are her loving husband, John White; children Tammy White (Phil), Annette Blacklock (Chuck), Monica Meadows (Jim), Kymberly Baldwin (Walter), Tommy Gonzales (Kelly); stepchildren Gina Rowe, Jonni White, Robert White (Evelyn), many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and "adopted" children.
We would like to thank the amazing staff at Hoffman Hospice for helping us through this difficult time. You are all angels.
And to our family and friends - your prayers, visits, messages, phone calls, memories, and more - words cannot express what your support has meant to us all.
Services will be Friday, August 13th, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel, with a brief graveside service to follow.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hillcrestmemorial.com for the White family.
