It's been three years Cuz, but you are still here in spirit. You are missed so very much by everyone.  Love you always.

I'll Never forget the night that I met you back in 1977. You walked in and sat down, I was directly across from you ,
we looked at each other one time ...looked away ....looked back.... Smiled... then we were together everyday for the next three years!
There were great times, there were tough times! After we broke up you came to my home with intentions of asking me to marry you (oh how you loved to tell me the story).... but unfortunately I was already with somebody else... it had been three months since I saw you last.
 That somebody I went on to marry and have six children with over a period Of 20 years. That somebody died February 1st 2020,  then unfortunately you passed April 25th 2020 !!! 
I lost the first two loves of my life in the first four months of the year 2020!

That being said I'm so grateful that you're at peace and that you're with Jola, Your Real True Love!

Thank you for looking me up 40 years later and sharing your pain with me about that. I wish our life would have been different and we could have been companions the second time around but you and I and God know ...that was never meant to be!
I continued to pray for you, conversate with you and even spoke with you a week before your death to ask you about generators LOL you always loved to help me and I thank you for everything that you did for me.

 I will cherish the Harley-Davidson outfit you got me and the white rose and the red rose gold dipped in gold.
Something very weird happened with the phone charger that you got me as well ,...the day that you were taken to the hospital unbeknownst to me, that charger started to slowly burn up and almost caught on fire and my first thought was to call you and check and see if you're okay but then I thought no I'm just being ridiculous ...I thank God you called me instead. I just wish it hadn't been while you were dying ...I am so sorry I didn't call you sooner. But I am so grateful for the nurse who got your phone and help us video chat.

I met Paul at El Monte High School during my freshman year.   He was best friends with my boyfriend, Bill Jones.   We all went to the Sadie Hawkins dance together.  We would all walk home together. Paul and I lived the farthest.  So we would have our daily chats.  A few months ago Paul and I were reminiscing and he reminded me of the time he and I were walking home and his Mother drove by. She “Chewed his A#%” ( his words) when he got home because I was walking on the street side, Paul on the inside.  That never happened again. Paul explained that he was supposed to protect me and he walked on the street side from then on.    That was the kind of man Paul was.  A true gentleman.   Paul lost his mother during his junior year of high school.   We both moved away and we lost touch.  Almost 50 years later Paul reached out to me and we picked up where we left off.  I learned of the loss of his wife.  I wouldn’t say he ever got over that loss.  He told me about his boys and his grandchildren.  
Paul was a manly man, and Paul was set in his beliefs and looked a bit Bad A#% on his Bike!  :-)  But Paul was a kind gentle soul that cared deeply and felt deeply.   Paul you will be missed and I thank you for finding me and I’m sorry our new found friendship was short lived.   I’m sorry you never got to meet my hubby.  I wish I had met Jola.  I know how much you missed her and it’s a comfort knowing you are together again!  RIP my friend!

I can’t still believe my big brother is gone and I’ll never hear his voice again. I talked with him the Wednesday before and he said “old age sucks”.
When he called the following Tuesday to say he’s in the hospital w/pneumonia, the next 3 days are a blur of constant calls, and then he’s gone on Saturday early am.
I think of growing up and how he used to think it’s funny to play jokes on me (hide & scare me mostly) he was silly, funny and liked being the center of attention.
Our backyard was big so between the neighbors & allot of cousins, we all played baseball, horseshoes, croquet, tag, and hide & go seek.  He liked to put our younger brother on the handlebars of his bike and ride down the street (against our mother’s wishes!)
At the older age, he’s quieter, reflective, a little crotchety, slow to make changes, he loved to talk and talk and talk, loved his family and being a “papa”.
And mostly loving his wonderful wife, Jola…..He told me “I really married UP!” and I agree.
Nothing was unsaid between us, especially those last 2 days,  I’ll miss him terribly, rest in peace big brother….sis


Paul was a good guy. Gave me a lot of advice at work. When he didn't even have to. Explained the ins and outs. Most people just let you burn. Then after work hanging at Bills and Jasons house I'd have a few beers listening to his stories when I was more ready to listen. Haha I never did get to hear about Wyoming though. Anyways, later on in life years later he gave some insite on back surgery and back issues. 
Thanks Paul I appreciated it. 
I'll miss the communication and comrade with current events. Haha

It was February 1991 when we first moved to Murrieta.  My brother was just killed in Desert Storm and I didn't know a single sole in that neighborhood.  I remember one day sitting in my living room, alone and sad, wondering if happiness would ever return.  At that moment,  I heard what I thought was thunder.  I looked out of my drawn shades and I saw a procession of Harleys going down the street and parking  in front of this house down the street.  Needless to say, I didn't know what the heck was going  on or who the hell was having  a party down the street, but had never seen a group of people dressed like that in my entire life.  There had to have been at least 20 bikes out front.   I honestly was uneasy.  After a few weeks, I slowly started meeting people in the neighborhood.   I met the boys first but then I met Paul and Jola.  Wow!  What a family!   Being a new mom, I knew how much I loved my son.  But after getting to know these  beautiful people, I learned what real, true love was.  They became some of the best friends anyone could ever have.  Jola was actually the first person to hold my babies that wasn't related to me......yet she was so much more than just a friend.  And did she ever love Paul!  It was a love that I admired.  The way he looked at her was amazing.  I know how devastated he was when she got her wings.  We talked a few times after she passed and I know he tried to make the best of it without her.  He was a big tough man with a huge heart and I hope that he is riding through heaven smiling with Jola right behind him.  You are free now.......🧡🖤

What's up buddy , just want you to know I always looked up to you and liked hanging around you and your family, miss you rest in peace,  your in a better place now !!!

Paul was my brother-in-law, married to my dear sister Jola. This statement is the only neutral statement anyone could ever say about him. He was a big, rugged, good looking guy. This first time I met him I was taken aback by his presence, and he was a presence, like the proverbial force of nature. After his wife's death he and I would often have long talks  on the telephone, more accurately, I should say, long debates. During these debates I would at some point always think of Jola. After he talked and talked, she would suddenly say, "Oh Paul, shut up." He never did. I laughed out loud!   For me,  this was the revelation of a man who was genuine, authentic, and honest. He and I would debate and debate, and not once was he patronizing; and never once was he rude. We would always sign off by his asking me, "Do you need anything?"

I don't know what it is about men like him, some men at least. It's as if their chivalry, and kindness, and generosity, and I would even say tenderness, are too much for them to be entirely comfortable with, but  are capable of it all when it is required  He was a man  from the past, a past where roles were simply and clearly defined, where humility was a virtue, and bragging a sin.  Where, if the sky were falling, a guy named Paul would rush in and hold it up.


Paul was such a genuine and friendly person. I never heard him say a negative thing about anyone. He was completely dedicated to his wife; my aunt Jola and was a loving step-father to her sons; my cousins Bobby and Brian who are a testament to their upbringing and the sense of family instilled by Jola and Paul. 

Paul was a good man who loved and cared for his family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. A strong silent type of guy until you got him talking. You will be missed Paul. Give Jola a hug for me.
