Carrie, Kate and Amy-  It is with a heavy heart and many fond memories I say goodbye to your Mom, Polly.  I remember all the times we all spent together as kids and the amazing creativity she had.  In particular I remember many 4th of July celebrations, trips to your Camp Nelson cabin and all of the art, crafts, cooking and sewing.  I think of the beautiful Christmas ornaments she made and the matching t-shirts she made for the three of you and me when we were little.  We each had our own unique neckline; a V-neck for me.  I remember the amazingly comfortable quilts she made too.  Always something so special and personal.  She made the best cookies ever!  Our Mom's were the best of friends when they were young and well into their adulthood.  My Mom says they were "crazy" together.  I can only imagine.  My last memory of your Mom is a funny one.  I was at my Mom's house and I had introduced Arabella to you all.  Your Mom showed Arabella a chicken that was in her trunk.  I couldn't believe it.  She had just acquired the chicken at the farmers market (I think).  That thing was so cute!   

You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers during this unfathomable loss.  My deepest sympathy and many joyous memories.
