Richard A. Gomez was born in Buttonwillow, California on December 6, 1931, to parents Charles and Julia Gomez, and was granted his wings on February 18, 2019. He was known for being a great Dad, and a loving Grandpa who always did whatever he could for his beloved family, which he created with the true love of his life Amelia, leaving behind six children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a very wise man who cared a lot about people and gave the best advice to those who needed it.
Richard had the personality of a True Rockstar, for those that really knew him. He was also a dedicated family man with the biggest heart, greatest smile and always had opened arms. Richard took pride in his beautiful wife and family, always doing what he could to put them first. He was a man of many traits he dabbled in truck driving, auto mechanic, being a butcher, and a foreman. Working as a butcher when he was younger, meant no one could carve a turkey like him. Truck driving took him across the country and gave him the opportunity to see so many different things. A Navy Seal who ruled the Santa Fe Railroad working as a foreman with his iron fist! He enjoyed his hot cups of coffee. And in keeping his mind sharp he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
He will forever be missed, until we meet again!
