Dad, today it Feb 28, 2010, it is almost one month without you> I am still unsure how we are going to get past this. Everyone says over time, our hearts will heal, but I don't think that is true. I don't know if you knew how much you meant to us all, but you helped us grow into the individuals that we are today. You were a good man, father and person. I learned so much from you. You and mom molded us into the people we are today. I love you so much and I miss you even more.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  However much sadness and grief we feel at Romaldo’s passing, we know that you all feel it a hundred times more.  You were his most loved ones, as he was yours.  Our hearts go out to you.

We pray that you continue to have Faith, for God is always with you, though it may not seem so and remember that always, come what may, God will help to see you through.

Aunt Manuela, Alfred, Elizabeth and Lisa...my condolences. My heart goes out to all of you. Uncle Romaldo was a good man with a kind heart and I have nothing but the utmost respect for him. I wish I'd been able to make the funeral to pay my respects. He will be greatly missed but have comfort in knowing that you will all see him again when the good Lord calls us all home. Live your lives honoring what Uncle Romaldo stood for...hope, love and family. God Bless you, Uncle Romaldo.

As Cassey and I visit with our aunts, uncles, cousins and your friends to pay our last respect, I learn more about you and your kindness and generosity toward others. All of my memories and the stories I hear about you bring a smile or make me laugh.  Your outgoing and caring personality impacted the lives of many.
I remember vacationing with you and Aunt Manuela in Texas with Aunt Connie, Uncle Bert and Sammy. You loved organizing big gatherings with your brothers, sisters and thier children.  We'd usually BBQ or have a fish fry; you enjoyed everyone being together, even if some of us were not getting along. Your main goal was to see everyone happy. 
During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers go out to aunt Manuela, Alfred and Gerry, Lisa, JR and Jake, and Liz, Reina, Priscilla and Anthony. You were a great father, grandfather, uncle and husband. You will truly be missed!

Beloved Romaldo,
Ive walked around being strong for our mom. And I watched how all your friends came to pay their last respects to the family but I always stayed a step behind because I couldnt bear to have them consol me.The pain I felt in my heart was too heavy and I wanted to remain strong.
Bother, I still couldnt believe it was you, we were laying to rest.But when they released all the beautiful doves and they circled back around, and they play the song, "Did you ever know you were my Hero" was all I could bear. All I wanted to do was run and hide with my pain. It was then that I realize that it was our farewell for now. 
Mom requested Psalm 91 for you and I choose verses 1, 4. being that it a long Psalm.

1. He thats dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. 4. He shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings shalt thou trust. His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
I now feel peace in my heart to think that God has you covered with his feathers and under his wings. Rest In Peace brother, for your memories will forever live in our hearts.

Well, it's Mon afternoon. We just got back to your home from your funeral. Alot of us took it pretty hard including myself. My Aunt Connie and Aunt Carol took it very hard, as well as grandma, uncle Alex, uncle Albert. They sang a few songs for you that took em a while to get the harmony strait, but it came out beautiful. We are at your home talking about old times, and even got a chuckle out of Sammy. I found out some good things that I didn't know, but everything that I hear about you is good, or great. I loved just sitting there talking with my aunt's and uncles about the old times and about your child hood. I wish I would have experience the conversations with you and mom, it would've been more cherishing. Dad, I miss you, and I'm trying very hard to keep my composure. It seems when I talk about you I have a very big smile, or a very sad face. You were the best dad in the world. You kept me in line, made sure that I was respectful and never let me get into any harm. Remember when I got in troule with the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. and you came in and gave me a hug instead of yelling at me or telling me that I was dumb or did a stupid thing. You held me and told me that everything was going to be ok. I was terrified about having to face the judge from L.A. County. thinking that I was going to Jail in Los Angeles. But you were there for me and helped me to get the charges to a big fine, which is better then staying in jail. I love you and no other father that I know of  came close to you. You are a unique person as we all know in  our own different way. 3 kids, and not one of your daughters ended up pregnant, ended up in jail, or with drugs, no felonies. Not alot of people can say that. We are all very respectful to our elders and show love to our family. This was all due to parent upbringing. You and mom did very well, and I am thankful for that. Dad, we laid you to rest today, and I keep wishing I would wake up and you will be here. I don't believe this happened. I love and miss u so much. I will try to be strong for Al, Mom, Lisa & the kids. But I need u to watch over both mom and al. I will think of you everyday and all the time we spent together from fishing or going to the casino. Your my daddy I loved you with all of my heart. There is a hole in my heart but I will concentrate on loving my family like you taught me.

I met Little Ray and Nellie through my husband, Ernie.  Ernie and Ray worked together for many years in construction.  Ray was always the life of the party.  I will miss arguing politics with him and just about everything else.  He always knew how to get me going, and then he would laugh!  What a fun guy he was.  My husband is going to miss him dearly.  He loved sitting around reminiscing about old times with Ray.  To you, Nellie, and your family I send  my prayers.  I pray that God will comfort you and your children.  I know Ray loved you with all his heart.  It is hard right now, but his memory will always be with you and will get you through this. God be with you.

Dad, I don't know what to do or say. I'm lost without you. You were my best friend and supposed to be the best man at my wedding. My body is numb and my mind blank. Today is Saturday, and I still think it's Tues. I walk around the house and when I see everyone it hits me what has happened and the pain starts all over again. I only ask god to help me with this because I can't do it by my self. I'm trying to be strong for Mom but it's her that seems to be the strongest, So it's her that I turn to to help me with this, and all the pain. I miss you so much, and always will. Watch over us, we will need you guidance thru this. It's hard to see all the relatives and you not there. You were always the center of attention when we were all together, and now you are the reason we ban together. The hurt is overwhelmeing and will take a pretty long time to go away. Life is already different without you not being able to ease my pain. I miss you dad.

My heart goes out to your family. I do know what they are gong thru. Our prayers are with you. God bless.
