

Roy G. Lutrel August 19, 1937 - March 31, 2002 Roy passed away peacefully in the serenity of his home surrounded by his family, when he succumbed to his battle with cancer. Roy was born in Glendale, Arizona to Roy and Nita Lutrel, three weeks later the family moved to Arvin, CA. in 1955 two souls become one when Roy married his high school sweetheart and life long love Gail Barker. The couple had two sons Rick and Mark, which grew Roy's family to include daughter-in-law Kristi, grandsons Klint, Kevin, Keith, Derran Derrick and wife Niki, and great-granddaughter Hayden. Roy was a swimming pool contractor from 1964 to 1976. In 1973 he established Lutrel Trucking, Inc. He was a long time member of the Kern County Builders Exchange, Elks Lodge and the California Trucking Association. After retiring in 2002 he enjoyed his favorite pastimes of spending good times with family and friends boating and motor coaching throughout the country. Roy will be greatly missed but never forgotten by many... He is also survived by mother-in-law Vera Baker, sister and brother-in-law Cori and Joe Armstrong and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Nita and sister Claudine Brown. The family would like to thank Hoffman Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. Services will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
