Born in Los Angeles, CA, Scott passed away peacefully with his brother, Gary, and his best friend, Rick Henderson, by his side.
Scott was employed by Crimson Resource Management Corp. in Bakersfield. He was one of the first employees when it came into existence in 1986. He started as an Operator and worked his way up to be the Light Oil Production Superintendent.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Werner Buntmann and Gisela Hoke, both from Germany.
He is survived by his brother, Gary Buntmann (Mary) of Greenwood Village, CO, his niece, Kelly Buntmann of Costa Mesa, CA, and his nephews, Jack Buntmann of Santa Monica, CA and Pete Buntmann of Bakersfield, CA.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Sunday, May 20 at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary in Bakersfield with a reception to follow at a place to be determined.
