He was a man of profound faith, humility, and unwavering integrity. A devoted brother and friend to all who had the privilege to know him. Sergio served as a correctional officer, where those who worked alongside him knew firsthand the deep dedication, professionalism, and selflessness he brought to his work every day.
Whether he was on the basketball court, sharing a favorite song, enjoying a meal, or sharing moments in prayer, his contagious laugh and joyful spirit brought warmth to everyone around him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Gladys M. Wright.
Left to honor his memory are his siblings: Christopher Rodriguez, Elaine Gray, Oscar Villegas, Selena Wright, Danielle Wright, Mauro Cedillos, and Jesus Cedillos; his nieces and nephews: Samuel Villegas, Emally Wright, Ethan Wright, and Ava Villegas; and his father, Sergio Cedillos.
Although he left us far too soon, his legacy of selfless service, strength, and faith will remain forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and fellow officers. We find peace in knowing he is at rest.
