Sheila Jane Coulston was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend whose life was filled with adventures, laughter, and memories that will remain with her family forever. Born on May 11, 1959, in Oxnard, California, she grew up in a lively family of seven children, where there was rarely a dull moment.
Sheila had lots of friends and was known for her independent spirit. She loved reading, gardening, animals, and creating with Lego. Throughout her life, she worked hard and was there for her parents when they needed her, giving her time and support during some of their most difficult years.
Sheila enjoyed travelling and new experiences, from childhood family adventures to exploring Australia. Some of the most treasured memories were made simply by spending time together. In her later years, she also had the chance to meet her nephews, who quickly came to know and love their Aunt Sheila.
Sheila’s passing was sudden, leaving behind words unspoken and time together that we wish we could have had. But a life is remembered not only in years or grand occasions, but in the stories we share, the laughter we recall, and the moments that become precious with time. Sheila will always be part of her family’s story, held close in the memories of those who knew and loved her.
Sheila is survived by her daughters, Cheyenne Bosworth, who lives in Glendale, California, and works as an accounting manager for an international entertainment company; and Dakota Bollinger-Jose, who is married to Vincent Jose and lives in Bakersfield, California. Dakota works with day-surgery patients in recovery at Millennium Surgery Center.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306, US, on October 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306, US, on October 27, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
