S. Anne Falcon, age 74, passed away on March, 28, 2022. Her husband, Adolph, told her before he passed he would see her in heaven, they would reunite, and it would be soon. It was soon. Too Soon. He couldn’t wait any longer and came for her.
She is survived by her loving daughters -Audrey Evans, Anne Renee Falcon and Amber Falcon, sister – Betty, sister in laws - Sally Falcon, Janie Zuniga, Nadine Canchola, and Lulu Shadden, brother in laws - Thomas Shadden, Sr. and Ronnie Canchola, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was born in Chicago, Illinois to Albert and Rose Brungardt. She was raised by Leo and Georgina Kynette in Kansas City. She grew up with two brothers, Ken and Tom, and one sister, Betty, as well as two cousins, Barbara and Dawna that she called sisters.
She graduated from Bishop Miege Catholic High School. A few years after graduating, she met her husband in Kansas City through her roommate. They dated for a few months and she came to Bakersfield, Ca. in October of 1967 to marry Adolph. She never looked back. They soon had their first daughter, Audrey. They started building their life together and she worked for the Welfare Department. After 8 years, she would have her second daughter, Anne Renee, then four years later, she would have her third daughter, Amber.
After having 3 daughters, Anne went to go college. She graduated from Bakersfield College and C.S.U.B. obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Geology. She worked for the Bureau of Land Management for over 20 years. She was married to her husband, Adolph for 54 years before his passing. She created a great life with her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. Her daughters were her babies, she loved them, and she wanted to take care of them.
Anne was a very intelligent, educated woman. She was a Geologist. She knew the land well. If you ever drove over the Grapevine with her, she would tell you all about the San Andreas fault. She could tell you all about earthquakes and why it was happening. She loved to do word searches, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku puzzles. She would finish these puzzles so quickly. She loved to read!! She loved the beach. She loved turtles. She loved history. She loved finding information out to create a family tree. She would go to every event she could for her grandchildren. She made sure if they needed anything, they got it.
Special thanks to Angel for being there during my mother’s last moment.
