Tami Lyn Bench was born on August 4, 1980 in Bakersfield to Ronald Bench and Julie Ann Belcher. She passed away on November 13, 2024 in the company of her dear friend Jasmine Backman after a brave fight with cancer. Tami attended Standard Middle School, and graduated from North High School.
Tami loved her family, friends and animals. In her free time, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, pouring over her baseball card collection and traveling to the beach as well as the mountains. She also enjoyed the famous Tehachapi Belcher family reunions and Church of the Brethren family camp.
Tami was preceded in death by her partner Jay Nickell, mother Julie Ann Belcher, father Ronald Bench, step-father Jose Arreola, and grandfather Marvin Belcher. Tami is survived by her son Landen Nickell, half-brother Jonathon Arreola, half-sister Jeni Arreola and grandmother Virginia Belcher.
Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 7th, 2024. Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm at Bakersfield Community Church of the Brethren, 327 A St., Bakersfield, California.
