Growing up, Terry was a happy child, always polite and friendly. He enjoyed playing sports throughout his school years, from running track to playing football and basketball at East High, where he graduated from in 1969.
Soon after graduating, he started a family and went to work. Terry worked successfully in multiple areas of construction throughout his life. Whether it was owning a business in San Diego to operating his own backhoe service, he worked hard and was great at what he did. He was considered one of the best operators in California.
Terry also had many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, racing cars, building and flying model airplanes with his friends and family. He loved to tell jokes, and he loved to play his music as loud as he could.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Dorothy Ellington, daughter Terri Michelle, and grandson Christopher. He is survived by his sons Robert, Jeff and his wife Hollie; grandchildren Nick, Meghan (Chandler), Marissa (Brandon), and Alayna; great grandchildren Brayden, BrynsLee, Taytum, Brooks, and Graysen.
