After graduating from Foothill High School in 1970, he attended Cal Poly, SLO and graduated in 1975. While attending Cal Poly he met the love of his life, Lu Smith. After they were married on June 26, 1976 they moved back to Bakersfield. After working for Kern County Probation Department for 33 years, Terry retired as Assistant Chief.
Terry is survived by his wife, Lu; son and his wife and their two daughters, Andrew, See, Kaily and Cassie (who were the apples of his eyes); mother, Betty; sister, Nancy; niece, Kim & Matt; and nephew, Scott.
Terry's father Billy Jack and his in-laws Floyd and Cathy Smith Jr. greeted Terry as he entered heaven.

Services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park - 9101 Kern Canyon Road - on June 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge, 1616 30th St.
