Thomas Earl Plante born January 7, 1959 at the U.S. Naval Hospital in China Lake to Carole Downard & Archie Edward Plante. He passed away at home in Bakersfield, California after a long struggle with Pancreatic Cancer on February 12th at 9:39 a.m.
He is survived by his loving wife Camie Lyn Plante; sons, Mitchell Dean Farnsworth and Cody Alan Houchin; grandson, Clayton Thomas Farnsworth of Bakersfield; his siblings Anthony “Tony” James Plante (Bakersfield), Mark Edward Plante (Houston, TX), Michael “Mike” Emerson Plante (Rosamond), Tim Vincent Plante (Grover Beach) & Melinda Elizabeth Wyly (Lake Isabella); many more nieces, nephews, family and friends that love him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Carole Plante; Grandparents, Jim and Bernice Downard.
Thomas, Tom, Tommy or “Unkie” as he was known by those close to him, was a kind, loving and humble man. He graduated in 1977 from Kern Valley High School where he was very active in the FFA and a member of the Baseball Team. He had a long and successful career, of 37 years (November 1, 1982 until his passing), with Pengo Wireline of California where he worked his way up to Co-Owner & Operator. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Catholic Church.
